Currently the Guggenheim is showing the Art of the Motorcycle. Even if you have not brought your motorcycle Momma to the Venetian this is an exhibit worth viewing. With more than 125 motorcycles on display, the exhibition chronicles the most compelling moments in motorcycle design and technology-from its humble beginnings as a steam-powered vehicle to the sophisticated state of motorcycle production today.
The Guggenheim Museum's landmark exhibition, The Art of the Motorcycle, will inaugurate the Guggenheim Las Vegas with a new installation designed by Frank O. Gehry. They layout of the exhibit is stunning with the designs and open space impacting all that is seen and viewed.
The exhibition chronicles the most compelling moments in the evolution of motorcycle technology and design, and places the motorcycle within a cultural and historical context.
Guggenheim Hermitage
The Guggenheim Hermitage Museum at the Venetian, whose first exhibit, the Masterpieces and Master Collection, features impressionist and early modern paintings from the collections of both museums.
The exhibit we reviewed is now gone but all the pieces were masterpieces with timeless beauty, and worth a close look.
The Guggenheim Hermitage Museum will close on August 12, 2002 for installation of the new exhibition. Art Through the Ages: Masterpieces of Painting from Titian to Picasso will open to the public on August 30, 2002.
